Spray Park Washrooms/Change Rooms Temporarily Unavailable Posted May 26, 2022 Please be advised that the washrooms/change rooms at the Spray Park are closed until further notice, due to extensive vandalism. The Spray Park itself remains open. We apologize for the inconvenience this causes visitors and thank you for your patience on this matter as we work to resolve it. An update will be provided once the washrooms/change rooms are available again. —- May 27, 2022 Update The Spray Park washrooms/change rooms are operational again and will be available for visitors’ use for this weekend.Read More →

Public Notice – Landscaping Surrounding Saddleback Trails Posted May 17, 2022 Please be advised that landscaping work will begin along walking trails in Saddleback this weekend, as early as Friday, May 20, 2022. Residents and visitors are still encouraged to enjoy trails and playgrounds but are asked to keep off the grass while work is being done and exercise caution around landscaping equipment in the area.Read More →

Recycling Collection Delay Posted May 12, 2022 Due to mechanical difficulties only the recycling on the east side was collected today. The west side will be completed tomorrow. Glycol Release and Fire Suppression Test at Baytex Energy Centre Posted on May 5, 2022 We will be conducting a fire pump test for the Baytex Energy Centre, which means that residents in the area may see sediments in their water. This test will be happening on Monday, May 9, 2022. If residents see sediment in their water, it is recommended that they flush their water by keeping it running for 10 minutes. If sediment remains afterward, continue to run water for 10-minute increments until sediment is gone.Read More →
Northern HEAT Returns After Two-Year Hiatus Posted May 4, 2022 After a two-year hiatus due to pandemic restrictions, the Northern HEAT Fire Conference is back in Peace River this week. This 4-day training seminar and Trade Show, organized by the Peace Regional Fire Chiefs, runs from Wednesday, May 4 to Saturday, May 7 at the Fire Department’s Training site on the West Hill and at the Chateau Nova Hotel. Up to 200 Firefighters from across Alberta will participate in two days of Live Fire Training and two days of hands-on practical training, as well as conference seminars and a fire equipment vendor Trade Show.
