Temporary Closure of Highway 2 Exit Pedestrian Bridge Posted July 18, 2022 As a part of the Peace River Arch Bridge rehabilitation project, the yellow pedestrian bridge will be getting repainted. While the work is being done, the Highway 2 exit ramp leading to downtown will be reduced to a lane with a width of 3.7 metres, and the pedestrian crossing will be closed for steel repairs and coatings. Fire at Old Forestry Site on July 6, 2022 Posted July 7, 2022 Peace River and Weberville Fire Departments responded at 4:00 am Wednesday to a fully involved structure at the Old Forestry site on 103rd Street in south-end of Peace River. The garage/workshop structure had partially collapsed before the Fire Department’s arrival. No other structures were threatened or damaged.
